Chip and Barbara Masemore feel that "everyone should be just plain silly sometimes" and it shows at the Cape May Inn. Expect to see collections of bawdy ladies, prewar Lionel trains, toys, Majolica and other surprises. The John F. Craig House Bed and Breakfast is in the center of Cape May's Historic District, -reputed to be the first house built on Columbia Avenue - in 1866. The Carpenter Gothic Victorian was immediately expanded by attaching a c. 1850s house moved from Lafayette Street.
The Inn offers open porches for Cape May's warmer months, glassed-in porches and the warm glow of a parlor fireplace in the cooler seasons. All the modern comforts today's traveler expects are included.
We are one block to the beach, (Chip says they are all within "a seven iron" - challenge him) Also a block to the center of Cape May's shopping and fine dining restaurants. |

Driving
Directions: FROM THE WEST & NORTH
Take your choice of routes to the Garden State Parkway. Go South on the Parkway and follow it to the end, where it intersects with Route 109. Go left on 109 and follow it into Cape May. When you enter town you will be on Lafayette Street. Follow it to the First Traffic Light at Madison. Turn left on Madison and go to the Water Tower at the intersection of Columbia. Turn right on Columbia and follow it about six blocks and just beyond the war memorial at the intersection of Gurney. The Inn will be on your right.
