Surround yourself with the peace and quiet of Bucks County in this spacious manor house nestled in the village of Point Pleasant, eight miles north of New Hope. This 18th century plastered fieldstone home with 3 grand porches, furnished with wicker and porch rockers overlooks manicured lawns and perennial gardens, recalls the unhurried atmosphere of an era gone by. The ubiquitous Stover family lived here for 150 years. Ralph Stover, the best known member of this prominent Bucks County clan of mill owners, resided here during the latter half of the 19th century. You'll get a hint of the life of a country squire when you step into the richly wainscoted and mahogany entry hall, then into the formal dining room with it's marble fireplace where breakfast is served each morning. There is also the colonial common room with it's beamed ceiling and large fireplace, which years ago was the center of home life before cast iron stoves and central heating. The six spacious, antique-furnished guest rooms are a joy; each with it's own personality. You may prefer the romantic Royal Lavender Room with its lace canopied queen size four-poster bed and fireplace; or the secluded Wintergreen Suite with it's wainscoted wall and private sitting room; or perhaps you may want the Gaelic touch of the Highland Room with it's wide plank floors and black watch plaid draperies. Two rooms have gas log fireplaces. You'll have difficulty deciding which is your favorite! All rooms have queen-sized beds, private baths and air-conditioning. |

ReviewsChampagne, Chocolates and Roses
Date of Stay: 2007-12-01 As a gift from some special friends,we were treated to a weekend at Tattersall. They certainly chose the best inn for this gift. When we arrived, the owners, Lori and John
made us feel very much at home. Our first impression of the inn was a comfortable, elegant ambiance and we could feel the history. When we got to our room a special treat of champagne, chocolates and roses was
sitting on the tables. It just looked so elegant! The four-poster bed, the lace, and the antiques- everything was exceptional. It was exciting from the first moments. For our afternoon tea, we enjoyed a glass of
wine and hors d'oeuvres. Lori explained the activities and the nearby shops, so the next day we made a grand tour. We've stayed at other B&Bs, but Tattersall Inn has to be one of the best. Lori and John's graciousness are reflected in the inn and made our stay delightful. Looking forward for a return visit.

Antiques and Old Lace -We just returned from a most enjoyable stay at Tattersall Inn. The Inn is very much a grandly elegant, historical estate. It is beautifully decorated, with exceptional attention to
detail. Each room was so cozy and filled with antiques from the Revolutionary War. The old lace canopied featherbeds and antiques added so much charm and elegance. It was like actually in living the history of the American Revolution. We really did feel like landed gentry! Truly an historical
experience. Albeit, we had the modern day luxuries in our room. Tattersall is one of the few upscale B&B's. The inn was within walking distance to a variety of activities and shops. Overall, our stay was so pleasant and very relaxing, and comfortable - a very memorable, fun visit. We would highly recommend Tattersall.
