La Dauphine, Residence des Artistes, is a very laid back, 100-year-old Victorian guest house for the budget-minded traveler. No attitude. Located in the bohemian, artsy part of town, 4 blocks from the French Quarter. A mellow, village-like atmosphere prevails throughout the neighborhood.
There is a dog in the house: Hoshi a--highly intelligent Japanese Shiba Inu. She is mellow also. The Alec Baldwin Suite features a four-poster Louisiana cypress queen bed.
