ReviewsA Place to Avoid
Date of Stay: 2007-10-01 We panicked the second the owner greeted us at the door. The owners are HEAVY smokers. It has permeated the walls, carpet and linens. If you have allergies, asthma or just don't like the smell of smoke, do not stay here. If you are a smoker, this may be the place for you. We found the place also to be FILTHY. There was hair all over the bathroom. Cobwebs were in the corner. The hand towels were visibly soiled. The kitchen was in the same repair. There were spills all over the floor. There were stains on the carpet. Water damage here and there. Not a place you want to eat. It takes months to accumulate this kind of filth. We had breakfast on the patio so we wouldn't have to smell the smoke. There was a baseball size hornet nest above our table. They have not a security alarm. It beeps in the wee hours of the morning and the guest has to get up and turn it off. We contemplated leaving in the middle of the night and sleeping in our car somewhere but we just decided to leave a day early. If you're looking for serenity on Lake Travis, go camping. It's cleaner and the air is fresher.
