The "Woodwind" and the "Woodwind II" are two of the finest sailing ships on the Chesapeake Bay, combine that with the friendliest captain and crew and you are guaranteed to have the time of your life. Boat and Breakfast Cruising ~ The "Schooner Woodwind" is a 74-foot sailing yacht that sails four times daily for two-hour sails. In the evening, we offer a special Boat & Breakfast package to as many as four couples each night. "Woodwind" was designed and built in 1993, to be a swift sailing yacht and to comfortably accommodate our sleepaboard guests. We started the Boat & Breakfast in July of 1993, and have had many delighted customers on board. In fact, in July of 1994, "Schooner Woodwind" was written up in Southern Living Magazine as "one of the top 29 things to do this summer in the South." 2-Hour Sailing Cruises ~ "Woodwind" sails up to four times daily throughout our summer season. Each trip is unique. On weekday evenings and most weekends, there are sailing races to view. Sailing under the Bay Bridge is a unique experience as are the breathtaking sunsets over Annapolis. Let our captain and crew make your trip most enjoyable and memorable. Help hoist the sails (all 4 of them) or take a turn at the wheel. Each weekday, there are specialty sunset cruises complete with entertainment. We have a cash bar stocked with wine and a large selection of micro-brewed beer. Destination Cruises ~ The Schooner Woodwind has special sails each month for longer, day trips to fun destinations around the Chesapeake Bay. These cruises depart from Annapolis, stay in the port of call for a couple of hours and then sail back to Annapolis. All cruises come with soft drinks and snacks, and most come with a gourmet box lunch aboard.
