Ermita de Santa Ll�cia  

The rural guesthouse (B&B) "Ermita de Santa Llucia", located in the heart of the Alt Emporda region, is a beautiful group of buildings: the hermitage and the hermit house. Its name belongs to the hermitage. On the year 2008, the old house of the hermit was restored (XVIII), keeping the old elements but transforming it on a comfortable place to stay. It was decorated with a lot of details and a long work. Transforming it on a charming and welcoming place with a very special atmosphere.
Surronded by fields, near a small forest and a quilometer away from the nearest village.It is an ideal place to relax and walk or cycle around. Don't forget to visit some of the most beautiful and important places from CAtalonia, like the old greek and roman ruins from Empúries, the medieval villages of CAstelló d'Empúries, besalú or Perelada, the marine villages of Port de la selva, CAdaqués, Llançà... or the natural reserves of "Cap de Creus", the "Aiguamolls de l'Empordà" or the "Alberes, and just five minutes away from Figueres, where you can visit its museums (DAlí Museum, Empordà Museum, The Toys Museum and the Museum of the Tècnica), and moreover you can have a look on the biggest castle of Europe: Castell de Sant Ferran. For the lovers of the sea and the beach, this is a good location, just ten minutes away from the sea, without the inconvenients of the most crowded places.
The house have five rooms for the hosts. They are located on the first floor, all of them with toilet and beautiful views: four double rooms, one for four people (that last one thought for families). Some of the rooms keep old elements inside, like the bell tower from the romanic times (s.XII) from the old church of Saint Esteve, later on called the Santa Llucia hermitage. On another room, the bed shares its space with an old oven and another room is located on the old defence tower (which moreover have a big terrace). On the lower floor ther is the kitchen and dinning room, under a beautiful catalan "volta" and a happy living-room, with six windows to enjoy the views in the countryside.
Outsede there is a large garden of 2500m2, with a small vegetable garden, a child's park, and a lot of room to play any kind of outdoor sports, or just to relax, sunbath or read under a tree. There is also a tennistable and you can use our bicycles. Of course, it is the perfect place to come for a relax holidays and to enjoy the large cultural offer of our region and the nearest ones.

Breakfast: A full breakfast is served We serve natural orange juice, fresh fruits, typical bread with tomato with cheese and cold meats, brioches, toastes with jam, tee, coffee, milk, cereals...

Driving Directions: Coming from de motorway AP 7, then take the departure to Figueres (nº4)and go like if you were gong to Barcelona. In 2 km turn left to Garrigàs, when you arrive to the village (2km) turn left again to Tonyà and Vilamalla (Road GIV6227). In 3 km you will see the hermitage and the house in your left.
