Local Area
Attractions: Close by is the spa town of Droitwich with it's brine bath and Roman History. Worcester City has many attractions, including Cathedral, County Cricket Ground, Guildhall, Civil War Museum, Porcelain Visitors Centre and Elgar's birthplace nearby. An ideal base for visiting Malvern Spa, the Cotswolds, Cheltenham, Stratford upon Avon and the West Midlands. We are a comparatively short distance from Ironbridge, where the Industrial Revolution started. A little closer is the Black Country Museum, which is a must.
The valleys of the rivers Teme, Wye and Avon, tributaries of the Severn, afford some of the finest scenery. The local villages and towns with black and white timbered buildings and small fields enclosed by hedgerows, so typical of historic rural England are most prominent here. |
