Upon entering the gates of Bamboo,the Guest House one steps into a verdant, luxuriant forested oasis that regenerates and revitalises the soul. Inspiration, individuality, comfort and congeniality have all found a home at Bamboo. Truly more than a guest house, a magical hideaway!
Our 14 individually styled and beautifully decorated en suite rooms are linked via an elevated walkway that meanders through our magical garden. All our rooms contain 100% percale cotton linen, ceiling fans, wall heaters, ipod docking stations/radio, bar fridge, mini safe, tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryer and 6 channel TV. We cater for individuals, business folk, families, holiday makers, groups and honeymooners.

Kick start your day with a sumptuous breakfast on the deck overlooking our very own patch of Knysna forest. Homemade muffins and muesli as well as fresh fruit salad and yoghurt are on offer at our cold buffet table. Guests may select hot dishes from our menu – omelettes, full English breakfast, eggs Benedict, French toast and an assortment of pancakes. We source local produce as much as possible – local farm fresh eggs, numerous vegetables from our own garden…..
Light lunches are available to order. Dinner is available by prior arrangement. A very popular dinner option is a traditional braai or barbecue on the deck.....a true South African feast. Our honeymooners enjoy the option of a three course meal served in front of the open wood burning fire in the comfort of their Honeymoon Loft Suite.
Bamboo is conveniently situated just a short drive from the famous Knysna Heads and Knysna Lagoon, Leisure Isle, the town centre, the Waterfront, Thesen Island and 3 superb golf courses.

Breakfast: A full breakfast is served Cold buffet table serving home made muffins and muesli, fresh fruit salad and yoghurt. Hot dishes to order including full English breakfast, omelettes, French toast, eggs Benedict and pancakes

Driving Directions: Drive through Knysna town centre, heading towards Plettenburg Bay and, turn right into George Rex Drive – signposted for the Heads, Pezula and Leisure Isle. Over one set of traffic lights and past the Loerie Park Stadium,turn left into Howard Road, signposted for Hunters Home and Hunters Village/The Private Hospital. Stay on Howard Road as it bends sharply to the right, past the Knysna Golf Course Club House and, where Howard Road veers left, continue straight up Bolton Street. We are two speed bumps up on the right, no 9.
