This unique inn offers a feeling of escape from all that has you in a hurry. Stay and relax on the 10.5-acre grounds by swinging in the gazebo or on the hammock, taking a walk around the pond, or kicking back on the large deck or on one of the benches overlooking the spring-fed pond. And if you prefer hanging out inside, you can do so in your comfortably appointed room or in the first-floor common areas, which include the living room, great room, and dining room. The great room as a baby grand piano, a community puzzle, and a large selection of games, books and movies to borrow. A bountiful hot breakfast and afternoon refreshments are included.

Breakfast: A full breakfast is served Breakfast menus vary each day, including fresh fruit, fresh-baked muffins or biscuits with warm homemade chocolate gravy, a hot egg dish and breakfast meat, juice, coffee, tea, to name just a sample.

Driving Directions: From I-10, take Exit 35 for U.S. Highway 98 E, heading south toward Daphne and Fairhope. Just past mile marker 41, turn right onto Ryan Avenue (Mazda dealership on the corner). Proceed to stop at Main Street. Turn left and go exactly 2/10 of a mile for the driveway entrance on the right. Look for our blue sign and split-rail fencing. Follow gravel drive back to the house, keeping to the right and circle around the gazebo to the front door. (The pointer on the map marks the entrance. The house is located to the left of that overlooking the pond, which is also shown on the map.)

Local Area Attractions: The inn's location is perfect for taking in the wide variety of possibilities offered in the Mobile Bay area and beyond, all within less than an hour's drive: Shopping, restaurants, movies and parks in Fairhope and Daphne, golfing, USS Alabama Battleship Park, museums in Mobile, beaches at Gulf Shores/Orange Beach or Dauphin Island, Bellingrath Gardens and Home, and the Naval Air Museum in Pensacola, Fla., to name just a few possibility.
