GIANT REDWOODS, rugged Pacific Ocean Coastlines, historic gingerbread Victorians - all surround this Award-Winning 1886 NATIONAL HISTORIC LANDMARK of opulence, grace & grandeur. Built 120 years ago entirely of thousand year old Giant Redwood trees, it's ornate architecture also endulges in the wood-working art of high ornamentation and "gingerbread". Breathtaking in it's authenticity, with all the nostalgic trimmings of a century ago, this meticulously restored Victorian masterpiece is an inter-active Living-History house museum of the Victorian experience. Tucked away in a quiet residential neighborhood of Victorian homes, the inn is within easy walking distance to "Old Town" and the waterfront of Humboldt Bay. The Smoke-Free inn is exclusively for the Non-Smoking traveler. This world-famous inn has received rave reviews from AAA, FROMMER'S, Fodor's, NY TIMES and the Wall Street Journal, among others. It has been featured on Television (Discovery Ch., History Ch., & H&G cable), Radio and many national magazines.
