Bernheimer House is one of the most unusual architecture designed homes done in the early 1900's so different the architecture style can only be called Eclectic. Architect Historians from all over the United States say they haven't seen anything like it. The exterior is presently being restored to it's original Painted Lady colors and restoration of the missing stain glass mosaics will be started soon.

The place is a wreck. We stayed there April 11, 2011. The shower in our room was a big plastic thing in the corner. A large wall mirror had a hugh crack in it. The porch was riddled with rot spots and holes. The caretaker gave us the keys, told us to lock the back door since we were the only guests, and then she left. We slept poorly, got up early and left before breakfast. No amount or quality of food could make up the poor accomodations.
