Breakfast: A sumptuous morning meal with juice, coffee, tea, fruit, sweet and savory dishes.

Driving Directions: From Seattle or Vancouver, BC, take I-5 to exit #230, the Anacortes-San Juan Islands Ferry exit, just north of Mt. Vernon. In Anacortes, follow the signs to the ferry terminal. Board the ferry to Orcas Island. On Orcas, turn left as you come off the ferry ramp, and follow the road signs (about 10 miles) to Eastsound village. In Eastsound, turn left at the second intersection, Prune Alley, which becomes North Beach Road. Continue about one mile; Kangaroo House will be on your left. Welcome!

At Kangaroo House we have no minimum stay, but we think you should, particularly if it’s part of a vacation, not just a quick getaway. Guests who stay just one night always leave with the intention of coming back for a longer visit. Most do. Kangaroo House is just a stroll from Eastsound village, the center of island life, where you will find a variety of pleasures - the island’s historical museum, shops, dining, spas and the headquarters for more active pursuits - kayaking, cycling, and skateboarding. Further afield, yet still within a few minutes drive, you’ll find potteries, a world-class skateboard park, a golf course, the Orcas Center for the Performing Arts, and, of course, Moran State Park, with its miles of hiking trails, fresh water lakes, and panoramic views of this spectacular archipelago and its backdrop of snowcapped mountains.
