The ambience of the house is casual country elegance. Our massive fireplace in the center of the 45 foot long living room is a special area to snuggle and dream -- winter and summer. The library end of the room is filled with a collection of familiar old favorites. A versatile collection of art and hardwood floor throughout the house provide an aire of relaxation.
Rolling hills surround this lovely historic home and the classic timber-pegged barns. The five acres are shrouded with greenery dominated by native white oaks. A collection of at least 20 tree varieties have been planted by a succession of the General's descendants. Perennial gardens along with a field of wild flowers abound for your enjoyment.
