Finca Brigadoon  

Finca Brigadoon is situated near the town of Iznajar the town being being high up on what is known as The Lake Of Andalucia in the La Subbetica province of Cordoba.The finca has been restored and tastefully decorated and furnished to a high standard.The finca is in a location everyone dreams of;south facing with sun all day and panoramic,breathtaking views.
The accommodation having king size divan beds with 2000 pocket sprung mattress's for comfort. One bedroom has ensuite the other private bathroom.The guests have use of a private Lounge consists of leather sofa's,chair and other furniture with sat tv,dvd,video players and films.The lounge opens up onto a terrace that also has outdoor sofa and chairs.Swimming pool with its natural stone built waterfall,towels will be provided on request.The gardens surround the entire finca with its fish pond,exotic plants etc and there are many area's to relax in especially on the decking under the grand oak tree.

Breakfast: A continental breakfast is served continental breakfast fresh orange juice,coffee/tea,a choice of cereals,fresh rolls,assorted local meats and cheese,toast and jam,fresh yogurts and fresh fruit.English cooked breakfast is available for an extra 6 euros.

Driving Directions: malaga airport take the A45 for granada/cordoba do not take the right turn for granada continue towards cordoba when you reach antequera take the right turn onto the A92 for granada then carry on toward granada and take the turn off signpost iznajar which leads onto the A333 follow to you reach iznajar go over the two bridges and you will see a petrol station on the left just past this there is a sign on the right sign posted El Higueral(A333)keep on this road for about 10 minutes passing through the village arroyo de priego until you see a bus shelter on your right take a left turn here where you see the village sign for Los Juncares just as you turn left.carry on straight up the mountain and take the second turn on your left passing the village bar and continue on this road until you see a new constructed house on the left with an old cement mixer wagon embedded into the side of the base of the house.Turn left where you will see a sign La subbetica carry on a short distance and you will see finca brigadoon on the left side with the high white walls and green railings/gates. If you are coming from granada then follow the A92 to Sevilla and take the signpost for Salinas or Villanueva de tapia (A333)to iznajar.follow above direction then as above.

Local Area Attractions: The lake within 10 minutes drive from the finca has its own beach with excellent bar and restaurant.There is also sailing and fishing on the lake.The area has a great variety of bird life for those whom like birdwatching,walking,cycling,horse riding,golf 18 hole course in antequera just under 45 mins drive away and there is a new course being constructed due for completion in 2009 near trabuco which is about 35 minutes drive.The town of Rute 15 minutes drive fron finca brigadoon is famous for hams,chocolates and anis where you can visit the factory and museums.There is also good shopping and many places of interest in antequera as well as in lucena and you have the cities of granada famous for its alhambra palace and gardens also cordoba again famous for the mezquita(moorish cathedral)palace's and gardens.both cities worth a day out.
