Huon Franklin Cottage Bed and Breakfast Accommodation is a sanctuary of comfort, peace and privacy for a handful of guests in the Huon Valley, just a short drive south of Hobart. (we also have self contained)03 62663040

We have 2 rooms:The Parlour & Kath's Room.
Kath's Room is disability friendly.

Our Bed & Breakfast is in The Huon Valley at Franklin gives you luxury, and also features, great views from our rooms, fully equipped for your comfort. At Huon Franklin Cottage, you can rest, assured that all your needs for good food and serenity can be catered for in a bed and breakfast retreat set up for just two couples at a time. Caring and expert hosts can assist you with their local knowledge. Disabled facilities provided.

"The Parlour"

Decorated in Heritage green, with an ensuite.

We invite you to sit in the bay window and take in the view of the mountains especially "Sleeping Beauty" the mountain range in which the Huon Valley rests. This room has a theme of Teddy bears.

"Kath's Room"

Decorated in Burgundy also with it's own ensuite is disable friendly.

This room has a theatrical theme.

This room coverts to our Bridal Suite, or Romantic stays, Perhaps you can make it for a weekend, maybe the magic of the River will inspire you to stay for ever. Huon Franklin Cottage is the place to base an authentic Tasmanian country experience.

The history of the Cottage hasn't been forgotten even though it's fitted with everything you'd like to find in a modern suite.

Imagine how you'll feel sleeping away the night as the river flows by and the morning sun floods both suites and encourages you to extend yourself on another day finding new sights and sounds across fresh Tasmanian countryside.

A comprehensive continental breakfast can be served on the front balcony, or the breakfast room.

An array of home cooked food from breakfast to dinner, view our menu or blackboard menu on arrival while partaking of cake and biscuits or Devonshire Tea with English Regency, Duchess and Victoria Royale Bone China. We are licensed and have a small array of wines and spirits.

Spoil yourself in our Spa, and mini gym to get you started on your day of site seeing in this " Great South Land".

Both rooms have:

Electric blankets a pure wool underlay, extra pillows, Royal Doulton accessories, pure fluffy Egyptian Cotton towels and spa kits consisting of Robes and foot attire for you to enjoy. TV and Videos individual recycled air-conditioners The ensuites are equipped with hairdryers and heaters.

Driving Directions: Huon Franklin Cottage is situated 40min south of Hobart, take the A6 from the airport along Davey street to the top & follow the a6 to Huonville, 8klm further on is Franklin we are 1klm south of the post office.

Local Area Attractions: Wooden Boat Centre,Franklin with it's lovely Restaurants, Geeveston, The Air Walk, Dover, Hastiongs Caves,Ida Bay Railway & Cockle Creek try & see Antartica ( only joking).

Onsite Activities: We are licenced, Gym,tread mill, bike & a lovely HOT spa.
