The hotel originally opened in 1927 as one of the most technologically advanced hotels of its day. Today the hotel has undergone a historic restoration to provide guests with as much of the original 1927 ambiance as possible while making modern comforts such as climate control and wireless internet as unobtrusive as possible. From the antique sinks and fixtures to the original 1926 Otis elevator, the Edgewater is a bed and breakfast experience like none other in Orlando. The Edgewater is conveniently located just 15 minutes from Walt Disney World, 20 minutes from Universal Studios Orlando, and only 20 minutes from downtown Orlando. Plus, you can bring your rollerblades, rent a bicycle or just enjoy a peaceful walk down the twenty two mile biking and nature trail located right out our front doors in beautiful Winter Garden. From the Orlando International Airport: Take 528 West 6.2 miles to the Florida Turnpike (Exit 4). Take Florida Turnpike North 12.3 miles. Take Exit 267A, SR 429 (Western Beltway) North toward Apopka. Take Plant St./Franklin St. Exit after about 1 mile. Turn left onto Plant Street and travel about 2 miles. The Edgewater Hotel is the 3-story brick building on the right.

From I-4: Take Florida Turnpike North 8 miles. Take Exit 267A, SR 429 (Western Beltway) North toward Apopka. Take Plant St./Franklin St. Exit after about 1 mile. Turn left onto Plant Street and travel about 2 miles. The Edgewater Hotel is the 3-story brick building on the right.

FROM NORTHWEST FLORIDA: Take I-75 South to the Florida Turnpike (exit 328). Take the Turnpike for 35.4 miles to Exit 272 (SR-50 toward Winter Garden/Clermont). Turn left on W. Colonial Drive (SR-50). Take West Colonial 3.2 miles to make a left on Vineland Road (CR-535) (there is a CVS on the corner). Follow Vineland 1 mile to W Plant Street and take a left. The Edgewater Hotel is the 3-story brick building on the right.

FROM SOUTHWEST FLORIDA: Take I-75 North to I-4 via exit 261. Take I-4 for 50.8 miles to SR-429 North (TOLL) Exit 60 toward Apopka. Take 429N. to the Plant St./Franklin St. Exit after about 1 mile. Turn left onto Plant Street and travel about 2 miles. The Edgewater Hotel is the 3-story brick building on the right.
