Breakfast: A full breakfast is served . We have a variety of recipes that include some old favorites, as well as some more creative dishes. When possible, our ingredients are fresh and locally produced, from the locally-roasted coffee to the farm-fresh eggs.

Driving Directions: Coming from the Airport Take Airport Road East to I-390 South and then take exit 16A to River Road. Continue West to Henrietta Rd (NY-15). Take West Henrietta north, which becomes MT Hope Coming from the East Take I-490 West and take exit 17 Goodman St. Turn left at Goodman St and continue to cross Clinton Ave. Turn right at Linden St and continue to end. Turn left at Mt Hope Ave (RT-15). Your destination will be on the right Coming from the West Take I-490 E and take exit 15 for South Avenue; Turn Right on South Avenue then take Mt Hope Ave, right at the light, (RT-15). Destination will be on the left Coming from the South Take I-390 north to Exit 16 West Henrietta Rd and continue on service road to East Henrietta Rd, turn right and go North. Take slight right at Mt Hope. 625 will be on your left after you pass Reservoir Avenue.

Local Area Attractions: The Ellwanger Estate is located in the heart of the Mount Hope Preservation District, one block from the Genesee River. It is within easy walking distance to Highland Park, the site of the world famous Lilac Festival and the renowned Victorian Mount Hope Cemetery. Downtown and its major business are five minutes away. Within a ten minute radius from the Ell­wanger Estate is the cultural district, restaurant row, the airport, University of Rochester, RIT, Strong Memorial and High­land Hospital, and Market Place Mall. There is much to attract the Ellwanger guest. The Ellwanger Estate is truly a celebration in all seasons.

Onsite Activities: Ellwanger Garden is a "living museum." Originally the private garden of famed 19th-century horticulturist George Ellwanger, it was cultivated by the Ellwanger family from 1867 to 1982. It is a historic landscape with many plantings originally placed by Mr. Ellwanger and his family. In the garden, you experience the sights and scents that delighted the Ellwanger family for 115 years.
