A lovingly restored 1818 Colonial in the heart of Historic Sandwich Village, the oldest seaside town rich in history on Cape Cod incorporated in 1639. Aaaron Burbank's Windfall House is the second longest bed and breakfast establishment operating under it's same proprietor since opening it's doors eight years ago welocoming guests from over 40 different countries from around the world, as well as, all 50 states.This gracious Inn has been restored by Innkeeper Ted Diggle and retains many original features: wide board pumpkin pine floors; three fireplaces (one with a bee hive oven in the keeping room); 8 foot-high beamed ceilings; horse hair plaster and lath walls; central chimney; cranberry-hued hanging hall lamp which dates back to the period, which originally burned whale oil, then later was covered to kerosene and later electricity, and the millstone slab complete with boot scrape at the front entrance way; as well as most of the original shutters held together with wooden dowels. All rooms have comemorative plaques on the doors which are inscribed with the names of people that owned and occupied the Inn, including important dates. Comfortable, immaculate, affordable rooms are air conditioned and contain aniques and period furnishings. A fuul served chef prepared breakfast is offered daily between the hours of 7 and 10 AM off of our extensive breakfast menu. Extensive beautifully landscaped with vegetable, herb, rose, and cutting flower gardens; as well as, gazebo and imported Japanese Koi pond where guest enjoy rlaxing after a full day of Cape Cod adventures.
