Walk to the Keenebec River and into the lovely City of Bath for great shopping and dining. The Inn at Bath is an 1840's Greek Revival home that became a B&B in the 1990's. All the rooms have private baths, 4 have wood-burning fireplaces and 2 of those have 2 person whirlpool tubs as well. Outside terraces for a quiet afternoon with a glass of wine or a cup of tea, terrific neighborhood walking with a walking tour brochure of the Historic District, a fire in the living room on those winter days, all here for you to enjoy. Directions: Route 1 to Bath, North on Washington Street for 0.5 mile. The Inn at Bath, #969 Washington Street, is on the right. turn right on North and into the parking area. (more detailed directions on web-site.) |
Local Area
Attractions: Popham and Reid State Park Beaches are just 20 minutes away and are the best beaches in Maine! Centrally located for wonderful day trips, museums, sailing, whale watching, light house tours, flyfishing. The Maine Maritime Museum is just 2 miles south, Bowdoin Art Museum a 15 minute drive. Colby, Bates and Bowdoin Colleges are within easy reach making this a great location for college visits.
Take the train to Rockland for the day, visit the Farnsworth Museum, walk to the light house. |
