We own and run a three star hotel at the foot of the Untersberg Mountain, just seven kilometers (four miles) from Salzburg - the Music Festival City, one mile from the motorway (highway) exit Salzburg Sued, seven miles from the airport Salzburg and 5 miles from Salzburg's railway station (Hauptbahnhof Salzburg - HBF Salzburg).

Our regular clients are drawn back by the individual atmosphere and the personal attention we pay to our guests.

We even provide you with bicycles for exploring the beautiful surroundings and nearby attractions.

We will be glad to help you make reservations for the Fortress and chamber music concerts, theater and marionette performances, horse-drawn carriage rides through our village as well as for the many guided tours to the attractions in Salzburg and the surrounding countryside.

We have our own free parking spaces so that you can enjoy your peaceful and relaxing stay in Salzburg to the full.
You can bring each day of holiday to a close with a glass of wine on the patio in our peacefully situated garden.

We serve breakfast but for lunch and dinner there are many restaurants closed by (approx 3 minutes walking distance)

The bus number 25 goes from Groedig to the historic city of Salzburg (also to the Salzburg's railway station - Hauptbahnhof Salzburg) and back every 20 minutes (it is a 30 minutes ride - price is 1.80 Euro). The last bus runs at 23:00 from Salzburg. The next bus stop is a 2 minutes walking distance. By taxi it is a 15 minutes ride and the cost is 14.- Euro for one taxi.

From the airport to our hotel is a 20 minutes ride by taxi or car. I can arrange a taxi for you to pick you up at the airport I need at what time you arrive Salzburg and the name of the airline. The cost for the taxi is 20.- Euro.

We can book the Sound of Music tour or other tours, concerts and the Sound of Music Dinner show for you. Tickets are available here and tour buses pick up every morning at the front door

Driving Directions: Here are the direction if you come by car: Our pension can be easily found if you leave the A10 motorway at the Salzburg-Sued exit (exit 8) and head in the direction of Groedig. Turn right at the second set of traffic lights and follow the "Hauptstrasse" (main street) for approximately 1 kilometer (0.6 miles). Opposite the "Raiffeisen" bank is a small road to the parking place of the Pension Sallerhof. Here are the direction if you come by train: Our Guesthouse can be easily found if you take bus number 25 from Salzburg's railway station (Hauptbahnhof Salzburg - HBF Salzburg) to Groedig, and alight at the Dr-Richard-Hartmann-Strasse bus stop (closed by the Post Office and the pharmacy "Apotheke" and the bank office "Sparrkasse", approx. 35 min. journey- the price is Euro 1.8 per person) Than follow the "Marktstrasse" and the "Hauptstrasse" (main street) for approximately 250 meters (0.2 miles – 10 minutes walking). Opposite the "Raiffeisen" bank is a small road to the Guesthouse Pension Sallerhof. The price for one taxi from the railway station to Sallerhof is approx.
