Q 1: My listing has incorrect information. How do I get it corrected?

A 1: Listings on Pillows and Pancakes can be edited by the B&B owner. If you do not have your login information please go here:

And enter the e-mail address for your B&B. Pillows and Pancakes will e-mail you the password for your account plus the link to login to edit your listing.

Alternatively, at the bottom of each page there is a link that reads “Is this your B&B?” On the page it takes you to you will be given the last half of the e-mail address we have on file for your listing. Please fill in the whole address. If it matches what we have on file, we will send you an e-mail with your login information.

Q 2: The map location for my B&B is not correct. How do I get this fixed?

A 2: Your pinned location on the map is easily changed. Login to your listing, in the Main Menu list, click map, and then follow the instructions on that page.

Q 3: I did not list my site with you. How did it get on your site?

A 3: We have a team of editors adding listings to our site. They likely found your site through a search engine. The listing they have added for you is grandfathered in as a free listing. You should request your password here and login and edit your information.

Q 4: I have a listing with you I’d like to edit. When I go to the “Lost Password Request” page I’m being told “Your email address was not found in our database Please try again.” How do I get my listing edited?

A 4: If your listing does not have a “Send a reservation request to this B&B” form this means we do not have an e-mail address for you. Please use our contact us form to ask us to add your e-mail to your listing. Once we have added your e-mail we will send you your login information.

If your listing does have a “Send a reservation request to this B&B” please use that form to send yourself a test e-mail. From the e-mail you will learn what e-mail address we have for your B&B. If the e-mail never arrives, that means the e-mail we have is incorrect. Please get a hold of us to correct this problem.

Q 5: How much does it cost to be listed on your site?

A 5: We currently have two levels of listing. Basic Listing for $49 US or Enhanced for $99 US per year. Click here to see the feature list.

Q 6: I do not wish to have my B&B listed on your site. How do I go about removing it?

A 6: Please contact us with a link to your listing on our site asking us to delete it. Don't worry about competitors de-listing your site - we take measures to ensure all deletion request are genuine. If you send us the e-mail from your B&B's e-mail address, this will greatly speed up the deletion.

Q 7: How can I get guests to contact me?

A 7: Pictures will sell your B&B better than almost anything. Also, make sure your listings have as much detail as possible.

Q 8: Why is your map any different?

A 8: You can zoom it, drag it and switch to satellite mode. Watch this video for a demo.

Q 10: My pictures will not load up. This is the picture I am trying to add "room 4 .100a. jpg"

A 10: The issue is the way the picture is named. Note the spaces and the extra . (dots or periods). It would be better to have the file named "room4100a.jpg" (less the "quotes" of course).

Q 11: You list my country, but not my state/province/region. Why not?

A 11: It was surprisingly difficult to get an authoritative list of all countries and its regions. We do apologies. Please send us details via our contact form of what we are missing and we will correct the omission.

Q 12: My listings shows me in city X, but I am near city Y. City Y is more popular than city X (and city X is very small). I would like to be listed in city Y. Is this possible?

A 12: Yes, you control what city you appear in. Please login to your listing and update the city to your city of choosing.

Q 13: Your site lists a B&B that is no longer in business. How do I let you know?

A 13: Please contact us with details about the B&B that is closed down. Or click the 'Report an error with this listing' link at the bottom of every listing.

Q 14: I downloaded the pnp.kml layer for Google Earth. My B&B does not show up. Why?

A 14: Your B&B will only show up in Google Earth Pillows and Pancake layer if you have a picture and latitude and longitude added to your listing.

Q 15: My B&B does not show up as a nearby B&B to other B&Bs in my area. Why?

A 15: For your listing to show up as a nearby B&B to other B&Bs in your area you need to have three things for your listing: a) At least one picture b) Your longitude and latitude information. c) A short description

Q 16: Do you really have 15480 listings?

A 16: Yes, that is a current number. It is updated every 15 minutes. You might also notice the number goes down. That happens when listings are deleted from our site.

Q 17: I got a free listing on your site, you added me or I added me, I see now you are charging for all listings. Does this mean I have to pay?

A 17: No, your listing will always remain free. We do intend to change the levels of service for free listings, but you will always be able to have a free listing. We will not try to 'trick' you into renewing a listing that was originally free.
